Tidying is a task that most of us don't like doing, but which has to be done. Follow these steps and use the tips to help you tidy a room quickly and easily.

1. start at the entrance of the room, and go around the room in order, tidying what you reach at the start first.
2. Put small things like pens, books and other items in a drawer which is not used for anything specific and is not usually kept tidy.
3.Put any dishes, cups or cutlery in the sink, leaving them to be rinsed and put in a dishwasher, or washed by hand.
4.Carry a plastic bag around with you so you can quickly pick up and put rubbish in the bag, without having to go to the bin every time. Also carry around a duster, to wipe over surfaces and things like televisions which have not been tended to in quite some time!
5.Put anything which has a certain place, like clothes or toys, in their place.
Put anything which doesn't necessarily have a certain place in a drawer or on a shelf. Any big items like books or important pieces of paper should be put in a neat pile and onto a surface like a table or shelf. This looks neat and means you do not have to find a place for the item.
6.If anything in the room goes in another room, go around the room for any other items which go into the room you are about to go to. This saves you from having to keep taking items separately into the same room.
7.Finally, to keep the room tidy, put things away and don't leave mess to build up, as this makes it harder to tidy the room later.
8.If you are not sure where some things go then take a plastic bag and put items in there and find a place for them at the end.
9.After, you could use a nice scented room freshener to finish the whole feel of your room.
10. Remember, making your bed (if bedroom) always makes a room look neater!

Traditionally, decorators start by deciding on a "decorating style". Popular styles include Traditional, Contemporary and Cottage. There are also geographic themes like Southwest, Oriental and French as well as styles that recreate an era like Victorian or Art Deco.
If you've furnished your home with random pieces that came from a variety of sources, then you probably have the informal Eclectic look. Whether you call it a decorating style or a hodge-podge of furniture finds, Eclectic pieces are a reflection of your individual tastes and almost anything can be used. Simply keep these professional tips in mind.
Proportion: Balance your room by placing large pieces of furniture around your living space. If possible, tall items like bookcases and grandfather clocks should be across from one another to keep the room from looking lop-sided. Then add smaller pieces like tables in the spaces where they will be convenient and attractive. If you have small furnishings or decorator objects, group them in uneven numbers like one, three or five items together.
Color: Nature's colors like white, cream, brown, green and blue are normally neutral in a decorating scheme. Black is grounding and should be saved for small pieces.
